PORTLAND, Ore. – Operation Pitch Invasion invites you to the ribbon-cutting for our most recent project: the Col. Summers Park Futsal Court. OPI, Portland Public Parks, and the Portland Parks Foundation converted an unused patch of blacktop into a safe, equipped playing surface where the community can enjoy learning and playing the beautiful game. Join us in our celebration and to play a little futsal.
WHERE: Colonel Summers Park, at Southeast 20th and Belmont, near the tennis courts.
WHEN: Saturday, May 30, 11 am
WHAT: Speakers to include Commissioner Amanda Fritz, Portland Parks & Recreation Director Mike Abbaté, and OPI’s Shawn Levy, followed by ribbon-cutting and friendly futsal matches.
NOTE: Parking is on-street only; carpooling and public transit are encouraged.
